A Beautiful Visit

Hello Sonshine family, friends, supporters, and partners. We are enjoying a wonderful, December visit to the Children's Home here in Tanzania. Traveling and spending time together with the children, team members, and each other has been beautiful. Your prayers, encouragement, and support are deeply cherished. If you would like to get a sense of what you have helped create, we think you will enjoy reading this letter written recently by the magnificent seven. (Please be patient. The link loads slow. But the read is worth the wait.)

LAND STEWARDSHIP

MORE CHILDREN

SAFER ROADS

It is Sonshine's mission to rescue, restore and develop the orphaned children of Tanzania to become Godly, world-changing leaders. Your shared passion and support of this mission means everything to us. We labor in love with you to see this mission lived out every day as wisely, smoothly, and as thoughtfully as possible. God has blessed us with 13 acres and 4 homes that are currently housing 46 children. As wise servants, we share the needs of wisely caring for the land, properly preparing for adding more children in 2025, and assuring for safe transportation to and from the Sonshine Village in King'ori.  Learn more

Spotlight on Service

Obed Luca joined Sonshine Ministries in 2018, bringing 12 years of experience as a security guard including advanced, pre-police training. He is a key member of the current, 3-person security team protecting the property and assuring the safety of children, staff, and visitors. Included in his many thoughtful work actions is his assistance with cows and animals. Obed is very diligent and inspiring to the kids with his social skills and love.  The apostle Paul encouraged God's holy people in Colossians 3:23. "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord," This verse describes Obed Luca.

Thank you for your kind generosity

We are blessed by your responses for additional funding to close out 2024. It has helped us get several children closer to the annual cost of home care and school which had risen to $2700USD per year over the past few years. If you know of others that may have the interest of sponsoring a child or donating to the ministry, please share our newsletters as the Lord leads. The links should be accessible for inviting additional sponsorship or making an end-of-year donation. Even a little goes a long way.
