I lift up my eyes to the mountains -

A song of ascents flows from the above statement beginning with a rhetorical question, "where does my help come from?" From deep, personal experience, the song writer emphatically answers that question with seven beautiful verses that are sung heartily to complete what is numbered today as Psalm 121. Our desire is that the beautiful, eternal truths of Psalm 121 have the fullest expression through the growing Sonshine family.

We have now grown to 74 children at Sonshine while we continue our outreach and care to neighboring orphanages that also desperately need help. We know that our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let our foot slip because He who watches over us will not slumber nor sleep. We are grateful for your support and prayers as the Lord watches over us. He is our shade at our right hand, and He keeps us from harm day and night.

We stand together in faith, hope, and love anticipating His continued provision through the generosity and kindness of our sponsors and donors. We celebrate together with you knowing that the Lord will keep us from all harm - He will watch over our life; the Lord will watch over our coming and going both now and forevermore! Yes. We lift up our eyes!

Sonshine is searching for more sponsors and donors. (Although previous content on the Sonshine website referenced that many kids were fully sponsored, that was not the case. We are trying to correct this.) Of the 45 children at Sonshine at the end of 2024, only 3 were fully sponsored covering all of their annual expenses including home care and school expenses. 32 children were under-sponsored by $60 to $175 per month and 10 children had no sponsorship at all. Now, God has guided us to 26 new children to Sonshine so far in 2025 growing our family to 74 children. (God asked us to build a big place in Tanzania because He has a big plan to bless the nation.) Your ongoing sponsorship and donation s are deeply appreciated. Will you share Sonshine's urgent need for greater financial support with your family and friends? Serving Humbly

Since 2007, Pastor Michael Dallaso has served and supported Sonshine Ministries Tanzania as a key board member, a youth pastor to the Sonshine children, and a spiritual mentor to Sonshine staff. In his personal life, he began as an assistant pastor and grew into his current senior pastor role to Fire EAST church in Arusha. They are an important partner to Sonshine in children rescue missions. His love and humility continue to have a positive impact on the children and staff. All are encouraged by Pastor Michael by what is possible in life despite one’s humble beginnings. God has power to do what He has promised. (Romans 4:21)

Sadly, we have a delay in providing more room for more children. We had been planning to move the chapel room in Nyumba Ya Sifa (House of Praise) to the to-be-updated, adjacent "Pavilion". To our surprise, the existing pavilion structure collapsed at the end of January 2025 due to a terrible storm. Fortunately, nobody was hurt. The original purpose of a Pavilion structure was to serve as a multi-purpose building for praise and worship, teaching, training, and community outreach. This important purpose continues. We cherish your support, and we welcome your prayers for God's wisdom and favor. The opportunity for a big, grand opening event that will reach many awaits us ahead.
