Sunshine Needs Your Love

Going into 2025, the cry was heard to rescue more children in Tanzania and bring them into the Sonshine Home in King'ori. Within the first 45 days of the new year, Sonshine has been able to bring in 15 new children; growing its family to 60 children to date. This is done with the highest level of care and thoughtfulness possible. The love that pours through the hearts and souls of the existing children to their new siblings makes the welcoming and transition process much easier. The greater challenge is the limitation of funding. You are thanked for your ongoing support and encouraged to share this newsletter with 10 or more friends, family, or acquaintances that you think might have the heart and passion to help transform the lives of orphaned children through monthly or annual sponsorship.

Pictured above are three sisters, Jenifa, Charity, and Gracious who were brought to Sonshine in January 2025 from a dire and difficult situation in their mountainside village of Ngyeko, Arumeru. The smiles on their beautiful faces convey the hope that has now come into their lives through your support of Sonshine Ministries.

Shown below are photos taken during recent visits and investigations to locations in the region from referrals and requests from the government to please help them. It is Sonshine's mission to help these children. The need for more sponsors and donors grows more critical every day. Mission Trips to Sonshine Ministries in Tanzania are life changing. If you have never visited before or if you have visited and are excited to return, please let us know. God led us to design the property to accommodate visiting ministry teams. We are 9 miles from the Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The ministry opportunities are incredible. And the experience and impact are life changing.

Good times to plan a trip are April 11 – 22, Jun 6 - Jul 8, Aug 28 - Sep 15, and Dec 5 - Jan 5. Standing Firm

Finding the right person to fill the shoes of a beloved team member seemed impossible. In August 2021, it was tough when we lost a significant, dedicated night guard due to a tragic road accident after his shift. “What would we do?” and “How could Filbert ever be replaced?” were our shocked questions. Well, with God, all things are possible. The Lord answered our prayers and brought us Petro Jacob to fill Filbert’s shoes. Petro had experience in the job, a love for the children, and an additional love for animals - an important part of our self-sufficiency plans. Petro is a charismatic brother with a huge, servant’s heart. He is always attentive to the safety of the children and what it takes to keep Sonshine safe and growing. Our God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Phil 4:19)
